Experiences of rural associativism in the Sisal-Bahia-Brazil Territory: meanings, results and challenges

Experiências De Associativismo Rural no Território do Sisal-Bahia-Brasil: Rio Rural: Significados, Resultados e Desafios

The purpose of this article is to analyze some experiences of rural associativism in the Sisal territory in the state of Bahia, Brazil, identifying and delineating their meanings, their results and challenges. Schematically, we present some contextual elements to characterize the general attributes that indicate the development origins of the phenomenon object of our reflection; we developed some theoretical notes on rural associativism, outlining a conceptual proposal that serves as basis for the analyzed cases; and we seek to unveil nature and evaluate the results of communitary and production rural associativism in the Sisal territory.
