Orlando Alarcón,

This is a reflective exercise on the capacity of the institutions and social actors involved in this process to analyze and address territorial and agrarian conflicts. From the different points of view presented in the meetings and institutional approaches, we arrived at this vision of what can be the basis for the transformation of these conflicts, which are dynamic with the potential to generate both new processes of deepening and exacerbation of tensions and inertia towards violent solutions, and to provoke positive impacts on the contexts, populations and groups involved, depending on the degree of recognition that the organizations make of their interaction with the regional and subregional contexts in which they act.

This document expresses a synthesis of the inputs obtained about the social practices of approaching agrarian and territorial conflicts in the Ciénaga Grande del Bajo Sinú, in the Department of Córdoba. The research process was developed within the framework of the project "Capacity building of communities and public officials for the transformation of land conflicts in 7 regions of Colombia", signed by the Universidad Popular del Cesar, Universidad de Cartagena, Universidad de Córdoba, Universidad de Los Llanos, Universidad de la Amazonía, Universidad Nacional, Procuraduría General de la Nación, Centro de Estudios de Derecho, Justicia y Sociedad (Dejusticia), and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (COSUDE).
