Abstract

The objective of this work was to carry out the physicochemical analysis of the rubber tree seed oil and its chemical composition through chromatographic and chemical methods; For this, the rubber seeds were collected, shelled, ground, dried and stored under vacuum, establishing themselves in the raw material from which oil was extracted by pressing and solvent methods, physicochemical properties of humidity, corrosion in the sheet were determined. of copper, indexes of acidity, peroxide and iodine; The chemical composition of the oil was also identified through gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. A higher percentage of oil was found by the solvent extraction method compared to pressing; the physicochemical properties showed oils with little humidity, low level of acidity, corrosion and greater stability to oxidation; it also presented high percentages of unsaturated fatty acids, highlighting linoleic acid (ꞷ-6). It is concluded that the oil from the rubber tree seed has great potential for its industrial use; being attractive for the pharmaceutical industry and production of biodiesel, inks, varnishes, paints, aerosols, adhesives, mainly.
