Focus and Scope

The Revista Avances en Salud publishes original articles, review articles, opinion articles, letters to the editor, among others (see Publication Parameters), in which it is expected to disseminate and make visible the scientific production of the authors and thereby favor the management of the knowledge from our means of diffusion. The call and reception of articles are permanent and all researchers belonging to the area of Health Sciences and related are invited to send their manuscripts and forge scientific alliances with us. Peer review process

The articles must be presented according to the indications established in the Instructions to the authors, the document proposed for publication will have a preliminary review by the Editorial Committee, who will confirm that the document is written following the norms established by the journal and will determine its relevance. for publication. Once this has been verified, the articles will be refereed by external peers and experts in the specific area of ​​knowledge, the type of evaluation adopted by the journal is (Double-blind), who will anonymously determine:

  1. Published as is.
  2. Published once the suggested corrections are made.
  3. Reject the article.

The digital file must be compatible with Microsoft Word that contains the work and a written communication stating the explicit desire to publish in the journal and establishing the originality of the article, the sources of funding, the granting of permissions to reproduce subject material. To copyright (DRA) and the transfer of the DRA to the Advances in Health Magazine of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FCS). In addition, you must state that the article has not been sent or will not be sent to another journal while it is in the arbitration stage (Format available on the page).

The publisher verifies compliance with the minimum requirements, then the plagiarism check process is performed using the iThenticate software. Once the possibility of plagiarism is ruled out, the manuscript continues the review process, in which two (2) evaluators are assigned in a double-blind mode, according to the subject. They evaluate the content of the manuscript and return it to the editor. In case of discrepancy, it will be sent to a third evaluator. If the article is ready, the Committee approves its publication according to the dates of receipt and evaluation thereof; if this requires adjustments, the Committee returns the document to the author. If the article is approved, proof of galley will be sent to the corresponding author, who will be solely responsible for socializing, correcting, and approving the final version of the article together with the co-authors.

The Editorial Committee and the publisher reserve the right to reject articles that do not comply with the requirements and norms, as well as the right to introduce (with the approval of the authors) the editorial changes inherent to grammatical norms, organization, layout, and distribution of the editorial space.

Plagiarism and Self-Plagiarism

The Revista Avances en Salud maintains an anti-plagiarism policy, therefore, all the scientific contributions presented will be subjected to verification, to evaluate the percentage of similarity resulting from the words counted and the marking of the various sections, expressions or terms that were found in other documents. Authors must respect and acknowledge all sources of information in obtaining data, figures, photographs, etc., giving the respective credit to the authors consulted. Failure to comply with this rule will be grounds for immediate withdrawal. In case of detecting plagiarism after publication, the corresponding notice of retraction will be issued. The Journal will promptly correct typographical or other errors that may have occurred with the publication of any article. Duly argued withdrawal requests will be accepted.

Open access policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that offering the public free access to research helps a greater global exchange of knowledge.

The Advances in Health Journal of the University of Córdoba, an Open Access communication model without an Article Processing Charge (APC).
