Among tropical diseases, the potential effect or risk of some particular diseases such as Malaria, Zika and Chikungunya on the health of pregnant women and their gestational product has been analyzed and recognized; However, the same is not true among Dengue professionals, but this type of information seems to be unknown. The objective of this review is to present the scientific generated from various perspectives, about the maternal and perinatal implications associated with Dengue; which is one of the viral diseases with the greatest infectious potential, capable of generating epidemics of great magnitude. The information was obtained in medical databases such as PUBMED, LILACS, MEDES. ELSEVIER, of which the results of research conducted in the different continents affected by this disease were compiled.
