The investigation was aimed at. To understand the meanings that teachers and students have about pedagogy in the Degree
Program in Physical Education, Recreation and Sport of the University of Córdoba. As for materials and methods. the
population was made up of professors and students linked to the Department of Physical Culture of the Faculty of Education
and Human Sciences of the University of Córdoba, in the period between 2016 and 2018. It was supported by a qualitative
research approach and a design ethnographic methodological. To collect the information, the in-depth interview and
documentary analysis were used; the analysis was performed with the coding and categorization techniques. The results.
They show that pedagogy is conceived as a technology at the service of the teacher; a knowledge at the service of Education;
a collective construction at the service of the community and a knowledge that breaks the walls of the school. Within the
conclusions. It can be inferred that pedagogy is subsumed by didactics and for its interpretation, there is weak theoretical
support. The desire to construct an innovative discourse is perceived in a part of the educational community, however, the
use of concepts related to their previous schemes, tend to generate confusion or contradict it.
