Peer evaluation process

The manuscripts will undergo a very strict double-blind peer review process, where the identities of the authors and reviewers remain undisclosed to ensure the best quality of the journal. All manuscripts (except editorials) will be submitted for review and at least two review reports per manuscript will be collected. All reviewers will be carefully selected by the editors of the journal for each manuscript submitted and must meet the following criteria:

   Be an evaluating pair endorsed by Colciencias / or be a recognized expert in the field;
   Not having co-authored publications with the authors for the past 5 years;
   Not be affiliated with the same institution as (the) author (s).

To fully guarantee that there are no conflicts of interest and that the reviews are totally impartial.

All reviewers will be selected and invited by the editor of the magazine to review the manuscripts according to the field of specialization of the documents received. Reviewers will be asked to complete their review within three weeks.

The objectives of the peer review process include:

Evaluate the quality of work before publication. This review decides whether an article is suitable for publication or not.

Provide an expert evaluation of the quality and robustness of the presentation under review.

Provide guidance to authors on improvements in their manuscript.
