In this article, an exhaustive analysis of MOOCs as a learning strategy in higher education is carried out; For the preparation of this investigation, an exhaustive selection of documents and investigations was carried out for purposes with the subject to be treated. This selection was made taking into account: Mooc origin and history, Mooc as a learning strategy, Mooc in higher education, characteristics of a Mooc and finally development and structure of a Mooc.
