Peer evaluation process
EVALUATION PROCESS
Articles must be submitted in accordance with the guidelines set out in the Instructions to Authors. The proposed document for publication will undergo a preliminary review by the Editorial Committee, who will verify that the document is written following the journal's established guidelines and will determine its suitability for publication. Once verified, the articles will be peer-reviewed by external experts in the specific area of knowledge. The type of review adopted by the journal is Double-blind, and the reviewers will anonymously determine whether to:
- publish without modifications.
- publish with minor modifications.
- publish after a thorough revision has been made.
- reject the article.
If there is a difference of opinion among the reviewers regarding the acceptance or rejection of the article, it will be sent to a third reviewer who will make the final decision. Manuscripts that do not follow the presentation guidelines will be returned to the authors without going through the evaluation process. The Editorial Committee reserves the right to accept or reject submissions.
Communication between reviewers and the editorial office is conducted through OJS or email. Each reviewer will have a maximum of 5 days to accept or decline the review request. Reviewers will issue their evaluation within 4 weeks from the acceptance date.
Reviewers who accept the invitation from the Editorial Committee to evaluate documents submitted to the journal Temas Agrarios should adhere to the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and follow the instructions in the evaluation format. Conflict of Interest
As an ethical duty, reviewers must decline the evaluation request for manuscripts with which they have had any direct or indirect relationship. They should also inform the editor-in-chief if they lack knowledge in the subject or area of the manuscript to be evaluated and will be kindly asked to recommend names of reviewers in the relevant area for the article.
