In the face of the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, telemedicine platforms have become emerging solutions for remote medical care. It is true that face-to-face care must be provided to those affected by this disease; However, the rest of the diseases demand equal attention that in many cases it is not possible to establish an on-site assessment. In this project, a telemedicine web app is designed and developed with the use of opensource tools, which provides support to the medical department of the State Technical University of Quevedo (UTEQ) in order to bring medical service in an accessible way and without exposing people to possible contagions. For the requirements, tests and adjustments of the system, we had the collaboration of experts in the health area, considering specific characteristics such as novel design and intuitive use, providing on the web app primary services such as: booking appointments, a virtual assistant and access to consultations in real time through telematic applications. Finally, a study of interface acceptability and usability was carried out in order to obtain feedback regarding the impact and improvements for future implementatios.
