The present research work consists of designing a fuel oil recovery system in the fuel treatment plant of the Quevedo II Thermoelectric Power Plant, from the waste obtained from the filtration process to be reused in the auxiliary boilers for the generation of steam and in other activities carried out within it, analyzing each of the results achieved in the tests it was obtained that the residue can be used in the generation of steam with a flash point greater than (73.5 ° C ) with respect to the fuel used in the power generation of the plant (62.0 ° C); furthermore, the water content in the sedimented fuel oil reduced 6.71%; the analytical, deductive and inductive methods were used in the present investigation, in addition to the quasi-experimental technique and the sources of information collection. The study carried out has allowed obtaining favorable results in terms of the recovery of Fuel Oil, which corresponds to 76.5% of the waste obtained after the filtration process, in addition, a Fuel Oil recovery system was created through the software, leading to improvements within of the current generation process in the Central and at the same time shows a wide updated bibliography on the subject of study. In conclusion, 375.1653949 gallons of Fuel Oil are recovered during the 12 hours of generation, the company is benefiting with $ 636.05 in the course of the year.
