The DMAIC methodology is widely used in companies around the world to improve efficiency and productivity by reducing variation and waste. It can be applied in goods and services companies, as well as in the supply chain or in the workplace. This methodology is based on the DMAIC process, which consists of the Define, Measure, Analyze, Implement and Control phases. Through this process, critical quality problems are identified, and their root causes understood, enabling effective solutions to be found. Within each phase of the DMAIC process, various quality and improvement tools are used, which are key to this approach. This research aims to provide a guide to correctly implement the DMAIC methodology, ensuring quality and facilitating decision making.
