Effect of gibberellic acid on the growth and development of banana fruit (Muse AAA), in Uraba

Efecto del ácido giberelico sobre el crecimiento y desarrollo del fruto de Banano (Musa AAA), en Urabá

To evaluate the effect of gibberelic acid (GA) on banana production, different levels (0.0, 50, 100 and 150 mg L ^-1) of RizUp SL ® (4% GA) at three different times (F ₃₀ leaf, floral differentiation and belloteo) on plants of cultivar Gran Enano were evaluated. A 3 x 4 factorial randomized block design with three replicates for treatment was used. The results showed that foliar sprays of GA do not have any effect on the variables cluster weight, raceme weight net profitable fruit and instead higher levels of GA induce a reduction in fruit size.
